Maniac joke and nice turnouts :)

Hahahaha, well, don't get scared by the title of this post... the maniac joke is just a silly attachment I made for Xavy (at least... the first one I made was for Xavy...lol) which shoots out particles textured as the owner's picture. Lol... it's so funny!
I still have to modify the script to make it a little bit "spicier", using doc's words, maybe with some blingies too. But, as for now, it's already funny enough!
I put the script in my ao, and set it so that everytime someone types my name in the chat there's an explosion of my pictures around the room! Haha, that's where the "maniac" name comes from...

Anyways, the "nice turnouts" are that, since I made this silly thing and was so totally cracked up by it, I told some friends, and I got the chance to see them, talk to them (take their picture... like with gurl and doc:)).
And now there are always more and more friends of mine having the silly attachment (and I hope they will like it... although I will understand them fully if they stop using it lol).

In particular I had the chance to "host" at CanDy Silks GURL and doc for a photo-shooting section! hahaha, sorry guys, I made you wait there like zombies for so long...I had to work...
But it was nice, wasn't it? I don't even think the 2 of you had ever met before (since doc rarely pleases us residents with his presence... :D).
Hehe, well, just hope GURL will not steale my math tutor, or I'll be lost!!! LMAO, yes, I did tell them : "hey guys, not that close, please" while they were posing for the maniac joke's pictures!!!
It was soo funny:) I'm very glad I got to see you... the both of you! MUAH!

Then, today it was a great day also because I finished my new gown (haha, so proud of it, I think this one looks a lot better... a lot more "poofy" lol) AND because Pall&Kuc got back!!!
Yey, I missed you guys! You'll have to tell me everything about your last days! But I'll wait till we get some free and relaxed time:)

Now, Clio needs to brush her teeth rl, cause she just got back from a japanese restaurant and still has the wasabi taste in her mouth (and she is NOT liking it!).

Finally out! Prima Gown!!!

Yesss! As you can see, Prima Gown has finally come out! It's the first gown I make, so please be soft with your judgements (kidding, I do appreciate critics... help me learn and improve).
Do come and check it out at CCard's... at the Golden Temple (Celtic 90, 60, 30). And since it is the first formal dress I make, this first week will be available for only 99L$!!!

I am just so happy I finally made it...lol, I've waited too much!

Well, I hope you'll like it and you will keep coming to The Golden Temple, since it will soon open and there will be a lot of new things, from the zoo to the beach (to my store and Zammie and Chiwa's...).

And I do think that in a couple days I'll hang on my store's walls a new top, too:)

Hehe, I know The Golden Temple hasn't reopened in its new location yet (which will be in Celtic 92,60,30)... but I wanted to show you a little preview of one of the many things our new club will have. Among them there are a zoo and this nice and quiet beach where I'm having a beer and a chat with 2 of my brothers and one of my sisters... and of course with our Daddy!!!

Then, going back to friendships for a while, I want to say this to Pall (lol, to whom I said the same thing many times already, actually...) : I know what you mean Pall. I know it is awefull that we have such great friends on sl and, since we don't know them rl, we wouldn't even know what could have happened to them, if they disappeared...

That's one of the reasons SL is not a great place to get stuck in: nothing is actually real. Only some (yes, some... cause people who deceive us do exist and they are everywhere) of the nice moments passed with our friends, with whom we never even spent a second of our Real Life.

It's a dangerous thought... takes the fun away. I hate thinking about what could happen to my friends without even knowing it. And I'm "lucky" that I partially know the families of some of my best friends... so I might still have some news about them... "If I died, Kuc will probably get on sl after a while and tell you...". But I don't even want to think about the possibility of that.

I know it's true but it's also sad... so I prepare to think about it the less I can.

Good evening everyone:)
Tonight I'm going to say a few words about my SL job.
OK, as you might have understood by now... I am a sales rep at CanDy Silks. Which means: I just wait at the store, I greet customers and I am available if they need help or advice:)
Lol... many people ask me: why do you need to work in a boutique, if you have your own business, now?
Hahahahaha, well... to all of you: I still do need a job... because to make my clothes I need to upload textures... and this is not too cheap...
Besides, I don't shop much, but sometimes I do, and the more money I have in my account, the smallest seems the amount spent lol...

I cannot complain about my fashion business... because it started just a little ago and it is going pretty good (not counting these last days... we don't really have our club going lately...).
But of course I don't have enough styles to actually make a difference. Nor my prices are high enough (lol... at least that's what some say).

Working on SL is almost a "status-symbol". There are basically 4 families of people:1) the newbies, who just wonder about SL... some look for money, others for a job, others just wonder... and chat up people. 2) The average. People who are no longer in their newbiehood, but don't look too old. They sometimes camp, and are not registered. So they don't have a lot of money. They play the game to meet new people, see old friends, and just have fun:) 3) Workers. Lol... people like me, basically... I started looking for a job as soon as I got on SL. And now that I am starting a little business myself, I could not imagine to drop my job... 4) Registered residents, who generally have a house (or more than one) and look fatastic.

Hahahaha, the funny thing is that noobs (lol, sorry if I use this term when referring to newbies...) don't even notice the difference, most fo the times. I can say that because I was a noob not too long ago... I remember (unfortunately) how naive I was thinking I looked almost as others... LMAO!!!

LMAO, after that scary thing you just saw... let's go back to the serious talk...
As I said... working is one of the criteria to classify people on sl... Actually we could say that money is, not just working.
It all starts at the point during our registration where they ask us to provide our credit card infos (or paypal account, I guess...). I was among those who just clicked on the "Skip this step"link, as soon as they read "credit card" written on the top of the page.

I didn't even know how much the 250L$ bonus would be... I didn't know anything about Linden dollars, nor I knew if I could get them in any way inside SL.

Of course, it is easy to find out how economics work on the grid at Help Island, already. There I learned that everything is bought with Linden $ and that there are ways to get some L$ inworld, without actually buying them (and for this infos I would like to thank the SL Help guys that go and help newbies as soon as they get on help island).

So... when I got on the maingrid (obviously I was over-excited, cause I did not know what was waiting for me in this whole new and wide spread world!) I tried to find a place where to get some money.

Of course, first thing I did was typing "job" in the search window. LOL, there were something like 1000 results for that word! And a poor noob certainly doesn't know where would be better to go and look for money/job...

I did end up in various sex-clubs, where they were hiring dancers and escorts, but noone would hire a 1-day old noob, right? Besides, I didn't even know yet about the necessity to fill in an application form. So I never really tried too hard to be hired lol.

Still, I will use this space to say (for the noobs that might be reading this post, and may be looking for a job) that if you are 1 or 2 weeks old, and you want a job, you can definitely find it in some sex-club. Maybe not in the naughtiest and most popular ones (where they look for girls and guys who are pretty familiar with sl and have hot avs... which means costly skin and hair), but average clubs hire a lot, and they are willing to hire 2weeks-newbies too.

Since I thought that noobs (under 30 days) would not be hired anywhere, I started camping.

As all campers, I was bored all the time and I didn't make a lot of money. I also have that huge problem that is my internet connection: it drops every now and then: I couldn't just sit there hoping to keep making money for a long time... I would just be kicked out after very few pay cicles...

So, as I kept looking for a job, I found out that CanDy Silks was hiring, IMed Cape and got an interview scheduled for next day... On January the 23rd Clio finally got her job!!!

Lol... had a lot to learn, both about prims and clothes... and about general issues (like: how do I know if an item is transfer?), but I am super-glad to work there and I hope I'll just learn some more everyday:)

Hehe, meanwhile, I changed from the absolutely scary newbie I was (look up again, so you can have one more laugh... :D) to a pretty old-looking girl (well, that's what I think, at least).

And, as you know, I also started a business thanks to Kawa:)

Now my brothers, my sisters and me are working (mainly Disco is... lol) to have the Golden Temple back as soon as we can:) and so we'll have a lot to work and to party again!!! And you're all invited, as usual:)

... well Folks... this time I just wrote down whatever thought crossed my mind, so I apologize for the absolute mess and non-sense of this post (maybe I should have apologized at the beginning, already! lol).

My first gown...?

Mhmmm, tonight no SL for Clio.

I can't log on, too busy RL.

Besides, these days everytime I log on I get stuck into thinking how I can modify the prim for my first formal gown.

Yes, people. I want to start making gowns :)

I know it is hard... much harder than making tops and pants' textures, which can be easily drawn on templates. To make prim skirts I have to go through a whole new learning process (and I just got out from the texturing learning process... lol... yeah, let's pretend I learned enough :)).

Those who have already visited the store probably noticed I already used prims for a couple of outfits(here some examples). But to make those skirts it took so much less than to get my first long and formal gown done.

I am just to picky about it:)

Or maybe I just got my eyes to be used to absolutely perfect gowns, being surrounded by them everyday at work. Lol... I cannot believe how many details Cape has to cure for each dress she makes. They all look gorgeous. And I so wish one day I'll be able to make something that can look at least half as good.

Well, this was just to tell you: get ready, Clio might be shooting out some formal-wannabe new item soon:)

I wanted to stick a picture of the gown as it is now (which might be the actual one I'm gonna sell), but I've just changed my mind (lmao), because I don't want to take away the surprise factor for all of you who are reading this (nearly noone) and who still haven't seen it.

Everyone I asked for an opinion on it, so far, told me it looks very pretty :))) But maybe they were just being nice:) (since, as you've read on the SL friendship post, all my friends are nice ... :D).

Hahaha, so you'll just have to hold your breath for a while... Prima Gown (cause that's going to be the name) is almost ready:)

Officially out of NEWBIEHOOD!!!

Hey everyone!!!

Check out what all the efforts done so far took me to: my stunning and gorgeous new skin and hair lol.

Yes... it is the result of lots of work... if you consider how much I paid for them... but that's just the sacrifice (mhmmm... that's such a big word for it) one must make to get to look like this!!!

Hahaha, well, maybe not all of you will agree with me, but I LLLOVE my actual look. I went through a complete makeover (even though my shape is always same old Clio's shape lol).

So this is nowadays awesome Clio (lol...I say compliments to myself, how sad is that? :D :)

I had been thinking about what skin would be the best for AGES... and I finally ended up with this one you see me wearing on the picture. As many can imagine, buying a new skin highly damages a poor non-registered-still-almost-newbie's wallet... and in fact I did see the money in my account dangerously drop as soon as I got it. But come on... be honest? Isn't it worth it?

Getting over my proud for my new items, here is what makes this day very important: today I spent my first money on my looks, and I worn for the first time a non-free skin (and hair too).

I call it "getting finally out of my newbiehood" because untill now I went on wearing my free CS passport skin (which, methinks, is a WONDERFUL skin... at least compared to other freebies) and the free hair I got at Diversity hair (thanks to the "free hair for newbies" deal, obviously on John's advice:)). Yep... I had never bought anything but shoes and some of Cape's gowns. Today's new skin and hair are my first "big" buyings.

This kind of makes me wonder how I managed to keep myself from shopping for clothes and stuff for all this time. I was maybe just ok with all the freebies I had (and, let's say it: being a fashion designer does help in this, since I generally wear my own creations...).

Saint Patty!!!

Yes, yesterday it was Saint Patrick's Day, and at The Golden Temple we got together the green theme from Saint Patrick's and the scheduled winged night. So we had "Best Absynth Green Fairy" contest lol! It would have been awesome, wouldn't it? But unfortunately, SL didn't think we were allowed to party and have fun, so it just kept not loading colors...

Our green event was actually grey (at least most of it)... As you can see, I was lucky to be one of the few rezzed. So everyone could see my crazy fire wings lmao.

Obviously we couldn't keep the contest going (... how could people vote for other... if noone was rezzed...). We almost started a "coloring-spells" contest, with people trying to perfom spells against the greyness using the little wand kindly provided by Disco (in the picture with Daddy). Lol, a sample spell was "Grey's the colour, as we may say, that comes and takes the fun away... so all together let us pray, to have our colours back again!" lmao... how poetical I can get, huh?

Of course non of the spells worked, so contest was cancelled and the bunch of us kept dancing all grey and trying to guess what Xia's wings were like (lol).

That was my Saint Patrick's night (which, of course, ended up with Pall, on his sofa... what else could it be?:D ).

SL friendship.

Well, today SL is just too crashy for me...
I've been stuck all day at Phat Cat's (which it's not too bad, since I like the place, but really no need to spend there my whole day when I actually needed to go to work...) because teleport system appearantly doesn't work... I'm just logged off everytime I try to teleport, oh well...
So I thought I'd use my time without SL writing on my blog... since I've started it, I should write on it... or it's no use to have a blog, is it? lol
Well, today's topic will be sl friendships...
Starting from my very first steps. And I do mean the FIRST steps lol. Let's go back to help island... I still have on my friends list people I met there... and it's funny but I remember those people better than others I have on my friends list (I know... since I just accept friendship from nearly anyone, I should at least use the profile space where I can write "my notes" about the person... so I will not forget who he/she is or where we met... but this thought never crosses my mind at the right time lol).
In fact, during our very first days, we're not too used to getting involved in chats and greeting people and stuff, so everyone cherishes those "interactive moments" as treasures. And we think: "wow, this guy/girl I'm talking to right now might become one of my greatest sl friends!" and we start picturing our sl parties (maybe we don't even know about sl parties yet lol) and explorations with that person....
But then, sadly, we begin noticing that our new friend doesn't often come online, so we go on not hearing from him/her and we get to know other people. Still we remember the talk we had with them, though, because it was exciting to us: we had met a new friend!
Of course, not all our "newbie-friendships" have short life (fortunately).
Some of the first people I met are still great friends. Even if I don't often hear from them, I know that if I needed something or maybe just wanted to have a chat, they'd be there for me.
And it is mainly for these friends I'm writing this page...
Maybe I'll send them an IM, telling them "hey, guess what? I'm blogging now and I wrote something about you:)" lol... that would be so Clio-ish....
Bytheway... Among my oldest friends there are 2 fabulous italian people:)
I don't even know how fate brought us together that day. It was really the beginning of something:) (hey, you 2 know I'm talking to you, even if I don't write your names;) )
Well, I met them again, just today, and we took a picture, the 3 of us together... can I show it, guys? (lol, I will, anyways... it's already on my profile!)
So these are the 3 of us, who met up that day. Lol... thank God I'm not in my newbies clothes, hair and skin anymore... I looked aweful lol.. (I wonder how you had the courage to talk to me,hun...).
As the stunning hot chick standing next to me (and making me feel like one of the 7 dwarves) said once: I've never even met you RL, but I feel like I know you, you're like an RL friend to me...
Yes, it's true:) SL is not a great place to get stuck in (because you really do get stuck!!!) but it surely gives us some wonderful opportunities. Apart from allowing men to fly (lol...) and teleport (as far as the system doesn't crash...), it is a place where we can be whoever we want.
There are those who have their avs looking as they look rl, and acting as they would act rl... guys who have always wanted to be women (or viceversa) and who get to be gorgeous ladies in sl :)... people who want to be seen as little elves... angels... vampires... goreans...dogs... cats... (a myriad of other animals)... cartoons' characters... and so on.
Here we get to start a new life... and people will just know about ourselves what we want them to know.
So Clio is Clio... that's it:) She's got a life on her own.. and she's blogging to tell you about it:)

Going on with the friends-listing process, before I get too heavy and phylosophical lol.
At the same place where I met the 2 hotties I mentioned I met many other people... some other italians, of course, and I say "Hi" to one of them (lo sai che sei tu lupetto... :P), and the most generous person on SL... lol, my actual Daddy (I've known him for so long that it makes me laugh calling him like that!), I will talk a little more about him later... hang on!

Lol, there's another place I should really thank for the huge amount of great friends I met there (and are now on my list) : Phat Cat's Jazz Lounge.

That's a great place. Formal, but not snobby... full of newbies and "old-players" at the same time. Where newbies can get a taste of what they will probably look like as soon as they get older in the game.

Well, first person I met there, and first person I ever danced with in SL, is my chinese-aussie friend lol. He's one of the nicest guys ever... never even tried to chat me up (and I might get offended for that... :P ). He came to me, as soon as I entered Phat and kindly asked miss Cardiff to have a dance with him. It was awesome! First SL fairytale for still newbie Clio... he was VERY nice, asking me. And I'm so glad we still keep in touch and he comes to The Golden Temple to party with us. A GREAT HUG to you, mate :)

Then, how can I forget another italian (lol, 4th so far)... I had SO MANY chats with him I'd say he knows every inch of Clio's messy mind... he was there for me A LOT during my first sl "sadly-ended romance story". Lol, so if any of you want to know something about it, you should ask him :D... I totally got over it (although it's hard to forget how elegant the guy's chatting was). But my dear friend maybe remembers the whole thing, since I drove him crazy with my drama ... sorry for that... :)

Always at Phat... let's add another beautiful lady to my friends list... first (and only... so far) African person I met on SL. Can you believe that our longlasting and very nice friendship started with me asking her via IM "sorry... I am stuck with my arm held up... how can I have it to go back down???". And she actually answered me in the kindest of ways lol... We chatted and had some laughs about guys trying to chat girls up (please remeber I was still a newbie, looking aweful!!!) and she offered me friendship before leaving. You're great gurrl!!! You know you are cause I bet tons of people tel you all the time:) I wish you all the luck of the world for your about-to-start business and for all the rest.

Hehe, did you think I finished up all the friends from Phat? ... wrong guess!!!

Here comes the next guy (wow, all guys... and all handsome lol, so lucky!). What can I say... There's too much to be told about such a person.

Our friendship started in the weirdest of ways, too. I was waiting at Phat, as always, looking around and hoping some guy would ask me to dance... and I got this IM from a person I didn't see there standing near the bar. I answered. He wasn't asking me to dance lol, he just wanted to chat with someone while he waiting for his dance partner to come back! Hahahahaahaha! I could never thank you enough for starting that chat with me instead of picking another of the thousands of girls waiting there (or maybe you did start a conversation with someone else, too... with all the women you always have around!!! Lmao). That was the first time I saw my favorite (and only ...lol) complex analysis tutor! (still Lmao) We went on talking a lot that day... and we would send IMs to each others when both online... always, I might say. But I never actually got to see you, remember? We saw each other very few times... and how can I forget the first time I danced with you (which was so much time after we became friends lol). Well, doc, I'm not gonna say anything else. Because you know I love chatting with you ( and I'm very pleased to hear from you that you like it too:))

Of course, at Phat I met many more people... I will use this post as a chance to say "Hi" to my favorite half angel/half demon... with whom I had such a nice and memorable dance that one night at Phat and who still keeps in touch with me, every once in a while:)

A big wave also to all the friends I met there who still remember dancing or just talking to little Clio!

Tadah... here comes the next "friendly" place. CanDy Silks. Lol, yes, it's just a boutique and it's actually the place where I work... Isn't it awesome that while I'm at work not only do I get paid and I learn some things (looking at Cape's gowns surely is great inspiration cause they're wonderful), but I also meet new friends:)

Outstanding turnout of my working carreer is in fact my meeting with such a funny and nice British guy. Hahaha, sounds repetitive and absolutely unnecessary saying this to him (but it's the truth) : My SL would not be the same without you. You fill up almost every minute of my free time and I have so much fun with you.

Lol, yes, this guy is maybe, together with the 4th italian I mentioned, on top of the list of people who know Clio the best... But he actually knows a lot about RL Clio, too. So he gets the prize, I guess ( which would be a kick in the butt lol... at least he won't get embarrassed by something too nice said or done to him lol). Apart from my silly jokes, thanks to him I spent some great SL moments, from the 2 of us talking on his sofa, to wild parties at his place.

And thanks to him I got to know one of the most amazing women in SL! Yes, I'm talking about the awesome asian girl he called at CanDy Silks the same day we met. You're amazing! The most important ingredient to have a perfect party, because no matter where, no matter with whom... she can always keep the chat going and never stops entertaining people! I cannot imagine an SL party without this girl... it would lack the largest part of the fun. So, if you're planning a wild and crazy night, be sure to have her with you:)

(you do know that you're great also when it doesn't come to partying... you're always there when I need help or advice and you're just incredibly nice...)

And let's not forget about the whole bunch of hilarious people the 2 of them introduced me to!

Going back to CanDy Silks... the brit is certainly not the only one who got on my friends list because of this place:) A hug to the first one who told me about the mistakes on my selling posters (for which I apologize to you all... I cannot believe I actually wrote so many things wrong lol), and who's always a lot of fun when we get to have a little chat... and to all the others who kindly offered me friendship after I helped them at the store:)

OK... whoof... it was long so far, but now it gets to another kind of "friends". Yessss, the time has come to say something about my SL family!

Hehe, I mentioned my Daddy already, a VERY generous and kind japanese business man. He's so funny when he tries to fire away the ghosts and the snakes Mommy leaves around the club. He's actually the only person I owe my starting fashion-designing carreer to. I wouldn't have a little store, if it wasn't for him. So thank you so much!!!

He also introduced me to the rest of my family: my sisters and my brothers... they are so nice and we have so much fun keeping our family club going.... Lol... and Mommy! She is a huge part of the fun... she's so hyper all the time:)

So, The Golden Temple seems to be the last of the "friendly" places, where Clio got her list filled up. (and I want to say Hi to all the people I met there thanks to my family, or just thanks to fate... that brought them there and gave me the chance to meet them... :) Many of them are still in their "newbiehood"... some already look great, some others were helped by me getting to a nicer look... and some are not even newbies, but just nice people I chatted to and I now have among my friends thanks to that place)

Hanf hanf hanf.... wooooo, my fingers are so sore now lol. I wrote a lot, and all because SL would not let me teleport :P!!!

Anyways, I know I let someone out (and if any of you notices he/she was let out, you're allowed to yell at me through comments... but you know... I'm not always fully connected to my brain... or maybe it's just my brain that often crashes... like SL...)... but I thought I'd just make a general list of all my SL best friends.

I did not write any name (... althought those who know me can easily get to know who the people I talked about are :)) because this is not meant to be some "friends-exhibit".

This page is a description of what SL friendships are like... so similar to RL ones. Everyone of the avatars I listed above is just a man/woman as me, and everyone (most likely) had the same experience. SL is not only a place where to be who we cannot be in RL, it's also a place to get to know a lot of people. And it all works just like in Real Life. You meet a person, somehow fate makes the 2 of you say "Hi" to each other and introducing yourselves, and if the conversation that followed was nice, you're just willing to see that person again... It's not different from what happens everyday when you leave for work or go shopping, jogging, to the movies... (or whatever else you might be doing while meeting people in RL).

So this was it. If anyone who's on SL read this post... I'd like to know what he/she thinks about SL friendships now.

And for all the rest, I hope you enjoyed reading about my luck with meeting people on SL (since I WAS lucky... all my friends are great).

Yes, Cape got married!!!

And she was so nice that she actually decided to invite me, giving me the chance to go to my first sl wedding:)

The ceremony was held in her castel (... I think). I got there just in time for the start... what a mess I am!

Cape was wearing a gorgeous black gown. The bridemaids were all red and black.

After the wedding they were (obviously) having a party... but of course, what could happen to me if not a crash??? So I had to leave unexpectedly even before the party started...

But it's ok:) Earlier I was at a party at Pall's... who's getting partying-addicted!

Danced as always and played truth or dare... and this time it was Laz getting to dance the weird and funny dance with a very NOT realistic dog penis on lmao!!!

Omg... it's too funny even just to remember the scene!

And tonight: party at The Golden Temple!!! Zammie decided to have an Angel contest, so if anyone is reading this, get on sl and look for the Golden Temple:) Come join us with your best angel wings on:)))

Pronti, partenza... VIA!

Ok... so this is it, I'm starting a blog now.
I have to admit, I decided to start a blog because I read some of the postings Natalia Zalmanov wrote on hers, and I thought: "Wow! This girl had such a great idea!!! She wrote down about her wonderful sl experience so that anyone can just read and learn so many sl tricks!".
And so, since I'm about to start (actually, just started) a designing carreer on sl, I would like to write down al my steps in secondlife, so that one day I can read through them again and maybe smile about my past and first struggles lol.
Well, I hope I'll have the strength of will to keep this blog going... I'm very bad at keeping diaries lol...
